Project Description: In recent years the World Bank, a global organization set up to help developing nations, has initiated internal environmental programs in an effort to ensure more environmentally friendly operations. This new protocol requires World Bank inhabitants to be aware of the changes in protocol so as to cooperate in these efforts. I was commissioned to educate members about their responsibilities to the new protocol and inform them about environmental practices the World Bank had undertaken internally.

| Final design of master poster for narrative concept | ||
| When designing this campaign I found three ways to portray the information. Each method engages the viewer at a different level. | ||

The first method presented is dubbed the “blunt statistic” concept. Statistics regarding waste generation are presented in relation to the World Bank. Below the statistic is an image of the point of intersection where the statistic can be affected by the World Bank inhabitants. |
|
The "narrative approach" concept was the second method presented. A Master poster acts to set up the story. Peripheral posters act as the body of the story, setting up the decisions each inhabitant of the World Bank faces, whether they realize the significance of the decision or not. The end of the narrative is left to be determined by the viewer now made aware of the decisions they are making and the impacts they hold.

The third campaign presented was a three dimensional visual analogy. It was to be located in lobbies of the World Bank buildings. Small environments are set up for inhabitants to interact with. As inhabitants interact with the design it will degrade. This is meant to mimic the global environment and show the cumulative impact of a large population. |

The posters are hung throughout the World Bank cafeteria at key locations, generally at the point where the decisions are made that ultimately impact the environment. The World Banks Master Complex is beautiful architecture. I carried the clean lines and crisp colors found throughout the building into my poster designs. I utilized bold colors in order to draw attention to the posters. The message of each poster stresses the fact that decisions are left up to the World Bank inhabitants. |
